I just got on your blog. I am very shocked to read what has happened and concerned with what you Glenn must be enduring and Beth for you to be the support he needs. What has happened?

On June 27th Glenn was involved in an accident that landed him in the burn center at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center via airlift, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is very serious -- not life-threatening, but yes, life-altering.

6 others on the scene responded heroically and swiftly; and managed to contain the situation, and to get the appropriate medical teams on site (remote!) In doing so, two of them were injured but are recovering without hospitalization.

They are all traumatized yet lending tremendous support.

We are now in week 2 and Glenn has undergone two surgeries.
His burns are in his lower extremities mostly, all "full thickness" (3rd degree.) The skin grafts are complete for now & over the next days the goal is for them to "take" and create new healthy tissue beds.

Glenn is Glenn. Glenn is strong, he is brave, he is intense. He is enduring extreme pain. He is interacting well, at times with humor, with the excellent medical team.
